SciGirls CONNECT Train the Trainer Program:
Call for Applications: Open to current SciGirls CONNECT Educators
If you have a commitment to gender-equitable STEM programming, SciGirls is for you! Our mission is to change how millions of girls think about STEM.
SciGirls CONNECT provides SciGirls training workshops that integrate inquiry-based science instruction with a commitment to gender equity. Educators attending SciGirls Trainings will learn the latest research about exciting and engaging girls (and boys) in STEM; experience hands-on STEM activities; and gain access to free materials for hands-on, video-enhanced activities that put a creative twist on teaching STEM.
The SciGirls CONNECT program is looking for applicants for its Train the Trainer Program to bring SciGirls educational resources and gender equity strategies to communities nationwide. Trainers will receive additional background information about SciGirls and gender equity research to prepare them to run full-day trainings for formal and/or informal educators. SciGirls will give priority to applicants affiliated with organizations that provide, or wish to provide, STEM-focused professional development training to formal and/or informal educators.
Application materials (including a one page bio or resume, letter of support, and sustainability plan) must be submitted by March 12, 2014 to Niki Becker, email@example.com. Participants will be selected by March 21, 2014.
