We’re Francesca, Precious, and Marnicka, and we jump for joy whenever anyone mentions Double Dutch. One of the most important things in Double Dutch is to sense the ropes' beat. Although you can both hear and see the ropes, it’s easy to get
distracted by the music, lights, or other kids at a competition. This got us thinking: Does hearing a rhythm different from the ropes' rhythm affect our performance?

I loved this video for the same reason that everyone seems to have enjoyed it: the cast is charismatic and relatable AND they make sure to follow the scientific method (and use charts). It makes an important statement that any girls we work with will need to understand: that you can be the coolest girl in the room while conducting scientific inquiry in an effective way. Since we know our girls will need to master this method if they inend to pursue higher education of any kind, it's very helpful to get them aquainted with it as early as possible (when it starts to make sense to them in a personal way).

I ditto exactly everything Vicky Rava said. This was an excellent way to show girls how scientific exploration can be interesting, fun and applicable.

I like the Double Dutch Video. It was very interesting. I like the science exploration that the girls did and the graph that they made. They girls had fun and they were all involved in the activity. In the end no matter what happend they all got along.

the video was very informative depicting the science inquiry process. The students appeared to have mastered what was required to coduct this experiment.

This video is awesome and I think a great way to introduce this program to the girls and their families. And a good way to explain to the girls that there are no wrong answers, just a quest for knowledge.

The girls not only came up with their question "sound or sight", but came up with the experiment steps. It was wonderful at the end where even after their conclusion, they realized that they might need to go back and experiment again.

This video was both fun to watch and informative. I liked that they also included the tempo of the song and the the rate of the strok ligth as facters.

The video was fun to watch which shows that they probably had lots of fun trying this experiment. It was great that they were able to come up with questions and answer them all by just using simple scientific steps in a fun experiment.
